High on Summertime

It’s hard to believe how fast summer flew by, and I really slacked in getting consistent blog updates done.  Here’s a small recap of a few pieces of our summer!
RAGBRAI…

Camping with friends…
  
Hawarden Combat Challenge…  David has been training for this all year!  They went to various competitions including Indianapolis, Texas, and Cedar Rapids.  He ran individually and also as a relay team at Hawarden.  He knocked 34 seconds off of his individual time from the first time he competed and the relay took 3rd overall, so it was a fun weekend to see SCFD do well so close to home!
 
Some other highlights were an overnight trip to King’s Pointe with some friends and a trip to the state fair with my family!
Here’s to a great FALL - to the sweatshirts, jeans, football, pumpkins, crisp air, changing leaves, and bonfire smells at night!  LOVE them all.
