To our sweet little Kenna,
You are 11 months old… like almost ONE! How did that happen so quickly? Seems like we were just taking you home from the hospital learning what it meant to have a baby and now you are already developing your own independence. This month you have been BUSY.BUSY.BUSY!
It really isn’t that cool anymore to have a sticker on your shirt, you just wanted to pull it off!
You started walking at the beginning of the month and are now all over the place! We can’t take our eye off of you for very long before you’re into something or somewhere you shouldn’t be. And… you know it! You get a little smirk on your face and try to start running before we can get to you. You love to crawl in the shower, get in the laundry room, sneak in the bathroom when the door is open, and even put your hand in the toilet if the lid is up (gross!). You also like to dig stuff out of the garbage and love to destroy newspapers. You also love making silly noises and making us laugh.
You are very ticklish. And for the most part… very willing to share a smile!
You’re into organizing and sorting… taking stuff in and out of containers, the toy box, etc. Sometimes it’s easier just to let you do it. It keeps you busy for awhile :)
You love to eat and feed yourself. Your favorite things right now are pizza, bread with jelly, pieces of chicken, yogurt, pancakes, and anything sweet! Daddy might have already taught you to love dessert.
You love to play with your baby and even got to experience some time with a real one this month. It got a little hairy at times because you are still so sensitive (emotionally). You LOVED the baby until she made noise and started crying. It made you sad so you started crying too. We sure had fun playing when everyone was happy though!
We went on our first hotel trip this weekend. Lots of fun in the water – looks like swimming will be a great activity for the summer!
As we anticipate celebrating your birthday next month, we stand in awe of the blessing God has given us and the amount of joy you continue to bring to our lives. You are keeping us busy and on our toes and we wouldn’t trade it for anything. We love you, Kenna bear!
