Happy FIRST Birthday, Kenna!
So hard to believe a whole year has passed by already. It doesn’t seem long ago that we were adjusting to a new babe and having a 3rd person in the house. You are so busy and don’t really like to sit. You keep us on our toes and make us laugh every day.
You practically run everywhere and have recently started a little skip in your step. You love to be noisy and jabber away. You make some noises that sound like words but the most common and repeated ones are da-da and mom. You are shy at first when around a large group of people or unfamiliar faces – but you warm up pretty quickly and aren’t as scared if mom and dad leave.
You love to carry your bottle around and would rather take drinks in between playing than sitting down and drinking the whole thing. You usually end up dripping all over the floor so we clean up after you quite often! Your hair is getting long that we always need to wear a barrette or pony to keep it out of your face. You also love to make the elephant sound. It’s the only one you really know so far!
You love to play and have recently become really attached to your baby doll. You like to hug her and pat her back and keep her head close to your mouth/nose. I think you’re giving her kisses! :) You also went on your first bike ride with dad. A little too bouncy – you weren’t so sure about it.
This month you got to experience your first Easter…
And also your first birthday party! You didn’t really understand what was going on but enjoyed seeing everyone, playing with the wrapping paper, and playing with your new toys! And you loved your cake!
You are starting to have more and more fun with your cousin Eden and are pretty much the same size even though you’re 6 months apart!
One of your favorite spots to sit or hang out is on the rug right by the garage door.. Especially if you know mom or dad are outside or coming soon.
We love you so much and are excited to watch you grow. Summer is just around the corner and we are anxious to spend lots of time outside since you love it! You are a special gift from God, Kenna Grace. Happy Birthday.. we pray we can celebrate many, many more with you!
Happy Birthday Kenna! She looks so grown up in those Easter pics! :)
