Bible

One of my goals for the New Year was to read through the whole Bible in 2011. I didn’t start right away so I’m quite behind already, but I don’t want to rush my way through it either. Instead of reading through my own bible book by book – I decided to try something different and read a chronological bible. I figured it’d be more interesting to read things as they actually happened. I was amazed that I was only through Genesis 4, and I already had so many notes and questions written down. I love how God continues to work, even through stories I’ve read so many times. I will never come close to understanding everything, and I will never have answers to all of my questions. I will just continue to worship and praise my Jesus who is so wonderful, loving, ever-present, just, and simply amazing – at times I can hardly believe it!  I already know this is going to be an interesting journey and will keep you posted from time to time on how it’s going and what I’m learning!

Of course, I always think of songs that relate to any given situation, since music is my passion. This is one of my new favorites. I have A LOT of favorites! And it’s just a reminder of how truly AMAZING our God really is – yes, I will pour out my praise – in good times and bad, through happiness and tears. His plan always prevails!
