“The LORD is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?” - Psalm 27:1
I was noticing from Facebook that today (October 15) is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. I was never aware that this day existed but I’m glad I know now. Jesus knows and understands the aches of our hearts. To this day, I believe losing a baby has been one of the hardest things I’ve endured in this life – but it’s also made me a stronger person. And I’m so thankful I have FAITH to keep me going. As I reflect on the sickness, cancer, and other sadness in this world that seems to be currently bombarding our community, I know that in the end all that really matters is where we stand with God and our relationship with Him. I pray that I will never lose focus of that even when my earthly desires may not be fulfilled.
This is on my list of new favorite songs. Wherever I am at in life – Jesus is my Shepherd – and He isn’t only willing to help us, He WANTS to. Jesus always walks with us through good times and bad.
