All Things New

I am really thankful to live in Iowa!  I love observing the changing seasons (yes, even snow) – but especially the new life that forms every Spring. The grass is green, the trees are budding, and the flowers are blooming!  Even though it’s earlier than normal, it just brings a sense of “newness” and a breath of fresh air to my world.

We have ONE… and only one tulip in our landscaping.  It was planted before we moved here and it comes up every year.  However, this is probably the last year because we’re re-doing our landscaping soon so I’m enjoying it!

DSC_0628As I anticipated it blooming and saw the first green leaves popping out from the dirt – I was excited!  It just made me think of the fresh starts we have in life and that God “makes all things new.”

I’m grateful for 2nd chances, for forgiveness, and for an opportunity to learn from my mistakes and grow closer to Jesus each and every day.  Another verse that came to mind was “Morning by morning new mercies I see.. great is His faithfulness!”

Thanks God for new beginnings and seasons of life that truly grow us.  These earthly reminders in creation are just a glimpse of what someday we will see because of the sacrifices YOU made.  Thanks for this Easter week and continually reminding me of these blessings!
