I just LOVE watching the snow fall from inside! It reminds me of a fresh start, a new beginning. And that is what I love about living in IOWA. The changes of every season and the beauty of God’s creation in that.
If I were at home today, I’d be tempted to start putting up my Christmas decorations. I know it’s not even Thanksgiving yet, but it’s a great reminder of why we truly can be thankful – Jesus came to this earth for our salvation, and that is something to celebrate in EVERY season of life!
I will continue to sip on some coffee, listen to Christmas music, and gaze out the window as I sit at work today. I’m secretly hoping for a HUGE snowstorm this year. Where we just get dumped on – and everyone is really stuck in their houses for awhile. A time to slow down, be still, and remember God is completely in control. Even though snow usually means more work for David, he truly loves the seasons too so I know deep down inside he’s just as excited (probably more) than I am. :)

“Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.” Psalm 105:1-4
