I’m actually a fan of winter. I think I trained myself to love it more over the years when David relied on snow for a winter income. I do not like the cold and freezing temps, but I love a great snowfall and the white flakes falling from the sky. Although we haven’t had any major snowstorms this year, there have been a few days I’ve enjoyed watching the pretty snow fall. There are also many other little things I have enjoyed this winter and thought I’d share a few.
We took a trip to Mexico with some good friends at the end of November. It was a great break right in between the holidays and probably our last big trip for awhile once Baby E. arrives. Sunshine is always a blessing!
Baby E. got her first gifts for Christmas which was fun. I of course loved this one that was in her stocking!
Christmas lights are a fav. I put my tree up in October this year and plan to take it down sometime in February. I keep a pole tree up year-round and change it for the seasons. The light in a dark room just brightens my mood.
A beautiful sunrise on a decent winter morning. I just had to capture the beauty of God’s creation.
Always love my birthday! David and I got to share a yummy little cake together. It was just the right size.
Another fav was a birthday gift from David. We spend 85% of our time in the living room so it is right in view in front of the TV – per David’s request. A great reminder of God’s blessings – where we’ve been and where we are now. And we are getting more and more anxious to meet this little one! I was blessed by his thoughtfulness.
As much as I enjoy winter for a short time, I’m starting to get very anxious for Spring!!
Ooh, that David. What a guy! :)
