The Egdorfs: 1 Month

You are one month old already today! Time really does fly. Each day it seems you grow a little bit more and we learn more of your personality. You are so fun and such a blessing!

From day 1, we’ve had countless comments about all of your hair and how beautiful your skin is! Mommy and Daddy both had dark hair too when we were babies (we’ll have to compare in a later post). We think you look more like daddy, but there are other expressions and looks that resemble mommy too.

You have really long fingers – people say maybe you’ll be a piano player.

You sleep best being swaddled and on your back. Sometimes naps on your tummy are good too.

You love riding in the car – have slept every trip so far. Any other movement you’re really not a fan of like the swing, bouncing, vibration chair… most of the time you just prefer to be still and fall asleep faster that way. Swaying is sometimes helpful though.

You make a LOT of noises in your sleep – and just in general you grunt and stretch a lot. You only slept in mom and dad’s room for 3 nights because of all your noises. You’ve been sleeping in your crib since you were 2 weeks old - usually only up 2 times during the night.

Your personality is starting to come out. When you are hungry... you want to eat NOW! You even grunt at mommy when she’s not fast enough… and you try to eat daddy’s face if he’s holding you.

You have been an awesome eater from day 1! You almost can’t get it fast enough and chug as fast as you can – sometimes forgetting to breathe in between. You gulp really loud too so no feeding in quiet places in the near future!

You are starting to share more and more smiles when we talk to you.
