2 Months

Baby Girl,

You are 2 months old already today!  Hard to believe how fast the time is going and how much you continue to grow!  You are 10 lbs. 3 oz. and 24 inches long.  You are in the 97th percentile for your height!  Mommy was always taller than all the boys too until about 6th grade and then they passed me up.  I'm not worried about you being a giant or anything. :)  I think you might keep growing for how much you kick your legs!  You are always on the go.  Grandma Altena wonders if you will be like your daddy - lots of energy and not laying still very long.

You are in love with ceiling fans, mobiles, and shadows that move on the wall.  You make lots of silly noises and try to talk to them.  Your little laugh is like a cough - can't quite get the noise out yet!  You try to talk to us and tell us stories, sometimes you scare yourself when a squeak or sigh comes out.

You found your fists this week and love to suck on them.  Sometimes you forget how heavy they are and bop yourself in the head, but you eventually figure it out!

You still like being swaddled when you sleep and if an arm or leg gets out - you'll whine until we come fix it before you'll go back to sleep.  We laugh at how smart you are already!  You are very content just laying in your crib - we hear you jabbering over the monitor a lot but eventually you will fall asleep.

This month you went to the swimming pool for the first time, got your first shots, celebrated baptism, and even managed to turn yourself in your crib.  Mommy was surprised to find you laying sideways when she came into your room during the night!  You are strong.

We look forward to another month of changes and fun.  We love you so much, Kenna!
