3 Months

Sweet Kenna,

You are almost 3 months old (in 2 days) and we will be gone on our first family vacation!  I’m excited to try some new things with you – like swimming!  You love your baths so hopefully this is fun too.  We will have to take lots of pictures and post some of the highlights when we get back.

You are right around 11 pounds and still very long.  Your waist is small since you’re so stretched out - so newborn size bottoms are still best!

You are becoming more and more interactive and we are loving every minute.  Your head easily turns when mommy or daddy come into or walk out of the room.  You are more curious these days.  You smile very easily when people talk to you and you like to tell stories too!  Your laugh still kind of comes out like a cough.  We can’t wait to hear you giggle.  You smile so big that your eyes almost go shut from your cheeks.  That’s mommy’s favorite!

We are surprised in the mornings how you move around so much in your crib.  We find you sideways or upside down a lot and not sure how you wiggle your way around when your arms are tied town in your swaddle.  You must have some strong legs to kick around in circles!  You often push your head to the side when you sleep on your tummy for naps too.

You’re loving your hands these days.  They fly in the air, your fists are in your mouth a lot, you like to hold onto objects, and you even use them to rub your eyes now when you’re sleepy.

   You are in love with music, your furry friend Daisy the cow, and you are easily distracted by the TV already.

We’re thankful for your health so far and we look forward to more new things in the next month.  You’re changing so fast, but we have enjoyed every stage!
