Sweet Kenna,
You have grown up a lot in the last month! Fun changes keep on coming and we love to watch each one.
You continue to sleep through the night (sometimes a couple of cries to replace your paci) and we are grateful for that. Sometimes your schedule gets a little goofy but we try to be as consistent as possible since Mommy and Daddy need to go to work.
You like to roll. A lot. It doesn’t last very long anymore when we place you on the floor, you roll right over. You usually only roll to the right from your back to your stomach.
You are really starting to notice faces and love to share smiles with those you recognize. It takes you a bit to warm up to strangers – no crying but you just keep checking them out and eventually relax. You really love looking at kids – makes you smile almost every time!
You LOVE music. I think I’ve said this every month but it is becoming even more noticeable. It helps tremendously to have your mobile or noisemaker playing music to help you fall asleep. You also like to fall asleep to mommy’s singing and instantly smile when I start singing randomly. You like listening to music in the car too.
You like to read/look at books. You also like to jump in some of your new (borrowed) toys that you can reach! You giggle and scream as you jump.
You’re now starting to grab at everything that is within reach.. and it usually ends up in your mouth. When someone let’s you grab their finger or hand, it will end up in your mouth very quickly! You like to suck/bite on everything offered to you. Even your toes!
You also started eating cereal randomly through the month – and now we are doing it twice a day. It seems to help you sleep longer during the night and somewhat helps with naps. You really like it – I can’t spoon it in fast enough!
You’re also starting to pump your arms up and down when you get excited or maybe even just for fun. You sometimes hit yourself in the tummy. You slap mommy and daddy once in awhile and we try to tell you, “no hitting” – but just out of fun because we know you don’t try or even know what you’re doing. :)
You love to be outside – and we are so thankful for the nice fall weather that we can enjoy for a couple more months hopefully! We made a quick trip to Pumpkinland and you just rode in the wagon.
You are SO loved, little girl, and bring a lot of joy to our lives. Even when we get frustrated when you don’t sleep when we want or we don’t know how to always satisfy you – our love goes so much beyond all of that and we can’t imagine life without you!
