Kenna,
You are 8 months (2/3 year) old! It seems like just yesterday that you were born, yet forever ago that you were so tiny and so helpless. You are so full of life and energetic. We laugh so many times during the day about you. You have developed quite the personality already!
It’s been a busy month! Toward the beginning of the month you were rolling all over the place – on top of things, under things, over things… the blankets we used as barricades really didn’t matter anymore!
You are kind of a crazy sleeper, always shoved up against the side or way along the bottom. You used to get stuck but now can move all over and are usually sitting up waiting for us once you are awake.
We’ve also added some “friends” to your bed since then. You have a My Pal “Violet” puppy that sleeps with you and plays music to put you to sleep, your stuffed dolphin, and your blankie. Lots of things to snuggle with and you don’t mind sharing your bed with them!
You always have LOTS of smiles to share and love to have fun and giggle.
You had your first sickness this month. You had a bad cough but also had the stomach flu for 1 1/2 days. It was no fun at all! Because of it, you and mommy had your first slumber party on your bedroom floor with a bucket nearby. Poor baby. Since your sickness you are not sleeping great, no longer want to nurse, and are very picky on your food selections. You have a mind of your own but we are glad you’re feeling better!
You’re so curious and always checking behind you to make sure you aren’t missing anything.
Toward the end of the month you started to scoot, and exactly on your 8 month birthday, you were officially moving and crawling… which means you end up in strange places and also get into more things.
You always love bath time – and your hair is still as wild and crazy as ever! We have to wet it down a lot more these days as it keeps getting longer and more “fluffy”!
Here’s to another great month of learning, growing, and lots of fun. We love you SO much, Kenna girl!
