2 Months

This week has presented us events that we never ever dreamed of experiencing in our lifetime.  As our best friends had to say “see you later” to their precious little girl – we are still in shock.  Life is not fair.  We can’t comprehend it.  In our hearts, we trust God’s plan – but we don’t understand it.  She will always be the most beautiful angel to us.  As we look at and spend time with our own children, please remember not to take them for granted.  It’s obvious once again that we are not in control.  We love and miss you so much, Ava Bean.  My mommy heart is aching and broken for your family, but we will take care of them.

Miss Hallie –

You are 2 months old!  You have grown so much and we love to see your smiling face each day.  You are getting more interactive and that is so much fun.

This month we had some big events.  We had your baptism at church.  Jesus’ love for you is so much greater than ours, which is so hard to imagine.  We pray that you come to know him as your personal Savior someday.  The song mommy sang said, “He gave me you, so I could give you back to Him.”  We are learning how true that really is.  We are not in control and Jesus is holding you in the palm of His hand.  It was also very special that we could share the celebration with your cousin Lincoln - he's just 15 days younger than you.

You also started daycare this month.  Mommy eased back into work so you get to spend time with Grandma Altena and Keri.  Kenna was pretty excited her sister got to go along to “play” with her.

You love to look at ceiling fans and lights.  You love listening to and hearing music.  You went on your first shopping trip and slept for a good chunk of it.

You are such a happy, content little girl.  Your eyes light up when someone talks to you and you get so excited – your whole little body gets tense and your hands start flailing.

Little one, you are so precious in Jesus’ sight and you have already stolen our hearts.

We love you so much baby girl.
