One Month

Hallie Ann –

You are one month old already!  Those days just flew by.  We are so happy to have you here!

You have been a very content baby so far.  The first few days/weeks, I felt I needed to pick you up and hold you sometimes just because you didn’t ever cry much and were content no matter where we put you.  I needed to enjoy the snuggles anyway!  When you woke up between naps, you were usually just hungry and wanted to eat right away!  Those were the only whines we heard from you.

You do not like to burp.  It seems to take you forever and is very uncomfortable for you to get out.  We started taking you to the chiropractor to try to get your body aligned better after birth and to help you relax – it has been helping some.

You love car rides – so far you’ve pretty much fallen asleep in your car seat every time we’ve left the house.

You were born with your right hand by your face, so anytime you have the chance, your hand(s) are up in the air right by it, especially when you sleep.  You usually don’t like to be swaddled because of that.  You make a lot of grunting noises as you sleep too.  So far you aren’t really interested in a pacifier either.  

You have been a very good eater and were over your birth weight at 6 days old already.  We’re starting to see some smirks when we talk to you and are looking forward to more interaction this next month.

We love you baby girl and are so excited to watch you grow!
