I Will Carry You

book

I just got done reading a GREAT book this week!  I asked for it for Christmas.  I originally thought it would be great because it relates to where I’m at and what I continue to struggle with.  However, I think this is a great book for everyone to read.  I have followed Angie’s blog for quite some time and knew the story of their daughter, but the raw description of faith, hope, and facing grief in the book touched my heart.  Had I not been through losing a baby, I wouldn’t have picked up this book quite as quickly – but I recommend this book for anyone.  Someday, it is highly likely, you will come in contact with a friend, family member, or co-worker going through something similar.  Questions that cross your mind – How should I react?  What do I say?  What do I not say?  I used to be a person who would probably not say anything or say/think the wrong thing… and now I know, firsthand, just how hurtful that can be.

Take it for what it’s worth, but I highly recommend it!  You may even borrow my copy if you don’t mind my markings :)  I’m just praising God that I have been reassured I’m handling this as a normal person would.  I don’t have to force myself to get over it – I can just BE.. and continue to walk through it.  My Jesus told me…. “As much as you miss your child and long for another, I love you EVEN MORE than that!”  He has my best interest at heart even when I know I don’t deserve it.  He will take care of me.
